How to Make an AI Rap Video from a Photo (Step by Step)

View as Markdown

Short answer: upload one clear photo of a person, choose a stage and a beat, type a topic or paste 2–4 lines of lyrics, and generate. An AI video model animates the person, writes or sings the rap, adds a beat and lip-syncs it. On GetAIRapVideo a 12-second, 720p clip takes about 2–4 minutes and costs 500 credits (about $4–5).

What do you need before you start?

  • One photo of one person. Front-facing, well lit, face clearly visible. A phone selfie is fine.
  • A Google account to sign in. New accounts get 150 free credits, enough for one draft.
  • Optional: your own lyrics. About 30 English words (or 40 Chinese characters) fit in 12 seconds.

Step 1: Upload your photo

Open the generator on the home page or Create and choose a photo. JPG, PNG and WebP up to 10 MB are accepted. The photo is resized in your browser before upload, so large files are fine.

Step 2: Pick a stage and a beat

The stage sets the background and lighting; the beat sets the music style.

Stage Works well for
Studio booth Clean, close-up performances
Street cypher Classic hip-hop energy
Arena stage Big, funny "superstar" moments
House party Birthdays and celebrations

Beats: Trap (808s, hi-hats), Boom bap (90s drums), Drill (dark, sliding bass) and Party (upbeat).

Step 3: Choose what to rap about

  • Topic: describe it in a few words, e.g. "Maya turning 30 and still losing at Mario Kart". The AI writes a short, clean verse.
  • My lyrics: paste your own lines. The AI performs them word for word as closely as it can.

Then pick the rap language (English or Mandarin) and the format (vertical 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts; square; or wide).

Step 4: Choose quality and generate

Quality Output Credits
Draft 8 s, 480p, Seedance 2 Fast 150
Standard 12 s, 720p, Seedance 2 Fast 500
Best 12 s, 720p, Seedance 2 800

Use Draft to test a photo and idea cheaply, then Standard for the clip you'll post. Press Generate rap video; you can leave the page while it renders.

Step 5: Download and share

When it's ready, download the MP4 or share a link. Every video is saved under My videos.

What if the result isn't right?

  • Face looks different: use a sharper, front-facing photo without sunglasses or heavy filters.
  • Words are off: shorten the lyrics to 2–3 lines and avoid unusual names or spellings.
  • Video failed: credits are refunded automatically. Try again with a different photo.
